Paris Trip Inspiration

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that would have to be the motto I am living by right now in terms of my European travel posts. Photo’s a great way to gather inspiration for your next trip to Paris.

I’ll admit I’ve been a tad lazy with my travel posts on here. I was simply lacking motivation to write anything about my travels, despite having a journal full of stories and ideas. So I thought I’d let the photo’s do the talking and inspiration with this post on my trip to Paris from last year.

Paris was definitely a highlight of my trip, I had previously thought I was going to like it after hearing others thoughts but boy was I wrong. I wish I had more than two nights as there is so much to see and do but I managed to squeeze in as much as possible.

Day One Inspiration

We arrived in Paris in the afternoon where we made our way to the Montparnasse Tower to view the sunset over the Parisian skyline.

Paris by sunset

After being dazzled by the Eiffel Tower light display, we had a quick dinner at the hotel before heading out to enjoy a nighttime picnic under the Eiffel Tower. Definitely a memorable experience and one I recommend to anyone. Grab some food or wine and a blanket and park yourself by the Eiffel Tower to watch its dazzling light show.

Day Two:

Our first (and only) full day in Paris meant we had to fit in as much as possible, we definietly saw a lot of Paris this day.

The Parisian roofline, view from the Arc De Triomphe

We first visited the Arc de Triomphe, with its stunning 360 view of Paris, from the Eiffel Tower, to the Champs Elsyees, and the world’s craziest round-about around the Arc.

We then caught the metro to visit the Notre Dame, and enjoyed a scenic walk along the River Siene, with a crepe in our hands of course.

After this scenic walk, we made our way to have a quick look at the outside of the Louvre. We had too much to see and do that day to go inside and have a look, but that just means I will have to come back!

The Louvre

We then made our way up to the Opera House, Palais Garnier, before heading back to the hotel to get ready for a night out.

Come night time, we arrived at the Moulin Rouge for a night of performances, music and good food and wine.
